CHOICE OF THE PROJECT

Our professors proposed to us to model Formula 1 of team TOYOTA F1 RACING. This team being sponsored by DASSAULT SYSTEMS, and their cars are designed on software CATIA V5. This was the occasion to thus carry out a concrete project compared to our formation on this software.

Our project thus taking industrial measures.

The choice of the TOYOTA team was not without consequence. TOYOTA F1 RACING being based in Germany and addition Japanese. She has a media image less than RENAULT or FERRARI in France. This is why, it was more difficult to us to find information precise on their Formula 1, compared to other stables.

To choose the model of the season in progress (TOYOTA TF 106 season 2006), will have been logical. But at the time of our choice in January, the car was only presented at the journalists and we could not have modelled the whole of the parts over all the season, the season still not being finished.

Every naturally, we chose the model of the previous season, “TOYOTA TF 105”. Thus we could reach much more data available on the characteristics, the configurations and on the evolutions installation during all last season.

We accepted with great pleasure. That gave us an additional motivation to make a success of this project.
